Summer is here and the East Colony Fine Art members have teamed up with LaBelle Winery, to present an exhibit of more than 20 floral displays by local master gardeners and floral designers. Each designer has picked an individual piece of artwork from the East Colony Artists and will create their interpretation in flowers and other organic materials. An event where Floral mimics Art.
This marks the 14th annual Petals 2 Paint event that East Colony has sponsored and a very popular event. Stop by and vote for your favorite designer’s creation. There will be voting instructions given to you when you arrive. Bring your friends and come enjoy the splendor and beauty of fresh and diverse flora! Each arrangement is unique and is a work of art, for both your eyes and nose.
A meet and greet with the artists and designers will be on Wednesday from 5pm – 8pm. During this time, LaBelle Winery will be conducting a wine tasting during the first hour and a half, of the Petals 2 Paint reception. All LaBelle Winery wines are produced at the state-of-the-art facility where Petals 2 Paint is being hosted. During the tasting a LaBelle Winery Tasting Representatives will share each wines tasting notes and history with guests. A wine tasting at LaBelle Winery is a fun and educational experience and a great additional to events such as Petals 2 Paint!
The flower arrangements and art exhibit, will be on display from Wednesday, June 21st, 5pm – 8pm and Thursday, June 22 nd, 11am – 7pm.
Come enjoy the visual explosions of color and texture, as interpreted by a floral designer, bringing summer indoors, with aromas of fresh blooms, for this two day event.
Plan now for beautiful color in your fall landscape! On Tuesday September 5th, the Bedford Garden Club will be selling its show-stopping mums at the Bedford Farmers Market, 3-6pm (or while supplies last), in the parking lot of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford.
Club members and the general public are encouraged to order and pre-pay their orders by August 11th for the best selection and early pick up after 1:00pm on September 5th. The beautiful 8-inch potted mums, produced by a New Hampshire grower, are priced at $7.50 each or 3 for $21.00 ($7.00 each for three or more plants). Proceeds from this annual event help to support the club’s educational programs, provide for holiday wreaths at public buildings, and maintain the club’s community gardens located throughout Bedford for the benefit of residents and visitors.

We are excited for this opportunity to socialize and relax during our growing season with our friends while enjoying our yards. Each month during the summer three different garden club members will host a quick garden tour at their homes. Come visit your fellow garden club members in their gardens and get ideas and offer suggestions. The first hop starts at 3:00 pm, each lasting under an hour with the final house at 5:00 pm. At the final home each month after the tour, we will relax, visit and have refreshments. The social is planned for an hour but may last longer. Members are welcome to hop or just come to the social. An email will be sent out to all garden club members with the dates, schedule and addresses. Please RSVP so that we can plan accordingly. Hope to see you there!!
This summer we would like to take our members on the road. The member field trips are open to family and friends. The more the merrier. Please save the dates now so you can join us for an adventure to the different corners of the state. We will meet at the library at 9 am before we head out. Carpools are encouraged. If you would like to meet the group at the event, feel free to do so.
Reservations for the lunch at Pickety Place and the tours at the Fells and at Bed Rock are required as is payment. The prices of the events are below. If you would like to attend lunch at Pickety Place, the payment will be required at the June lunch.
